GoodWill Mozambique serves as a refuge for vulnerable children and is situated in the city of Vilanculos. The facility has the capacity to provide a home for up to 50 children aged between 7 and 18.

Background

In 2021, Jeffrey Henseler in partnership with Passport Legacy created GoodWill Vulnerable Children's Home, a haven aimed to provide vulnerable children with a safe, loving environment where their basic rights are met, their emotional needs nurtured, and their education prioritised. The children are provided with a home where, with the support of the dedicated GoodWill team, they can flourish into strong, independent adults.

Our Mission

Our children's home houses up to 50 children between the ages of 7 and 18 years where they are lovingly looked after 24/7 by the GoodWill team. The running costs of the vulnerable children's home are incurred by Passport Legacy whose focus was to create the first vulnerable hildren's home of its kind in the Vilankulo, Inhambane district.

Our Support

None of this is possible without the Vilankulo local government and its representatives who have been instrumental in providing us with the necessary support including the land which now houses a welcome centre, kitchen, four dormitories, care-takers accommodation, bathrooms, and an open-air seating area which will serve as a dining area as well as a study zone.

Consultório Médico Esperança, E.I (CME) is a private clinic (currently expanding to become a hospital) managed by the owner, a Mozambique national. As part of CME's corporate social responsibility it is investing in the local community with acts that among others include its support with free outpatient medical treatment to GoodWill Mozambique's children. CME is committed to being part of the solution to local problems using its abilities and resources that are local and native.
